McDonald (knee) plans to practice this week, The Sacramento Bee reports.

Analysis: McDonald suffered a knee injury during Sunday's game, but fortunately, testing afterward revealed no structural damage. As a result, McDonald expects to practice this week, which could boost his fantasy stock for Sunday against the Cardinals, if fellow tight end Vernon Davis (ankle) misses out due to a more cumbersome injury.

Brock (toe) is not expected to play in Sunday's Week 3 game against the Cardinals, ESPN reports.

Analysis: Brock suffered a sprained toe in San Francisco's Week 1 contest that forced him to sit out Sunday's loss to the Bears. With another week of rest apparently on the horizon, Perrish Cox could receive a second consecutive start at cornerback for the 49ers.

Conte (shoulder) is considered day-to-day by coach Marc Trestman, ESPN.com reports.

Analysis: Conte suffered a shoulder injury during Sunday night's game and did not return after picking up the ailment. However, Conte is reportedly just sore, which bodes well for his future availability. With two interceptions in two games, Conte has made some plays in coverage thus far. Expect his status to be updated in advance of next Monday's game against the Jets.

Peterson supplied four solo tackles in Sunday's win against the Giants in New York.

Analysis: Peterson has little to show for his efforts this season, with five solo tackles and no other counting stats on the ledger. Along with the sparse stat lines, the league's highest-paid cornerback played one of the worst games of his career in Week 2, as Eli Manning didn't shy away from Peterson, who was beat on a seven-yard touchdown grab by Reuben Randle. Moreover, Peterson committed one defensive hold and one pass interference apiece. While his prime contribution to IDP formats is interceptions, he's nearing a full year since his previous pick in Week 5 last season against the Panthers.

White (hamstring) is expected by coach Mike Smith to be able to play Thursday, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Analysis: White missed practice both Monday and Tuesday while resting his legs, but apparently is anticipated to be ready for Thursday's game against the Buccaneers. While news of coach Smith planning on having White available is certainly encouraging, the veteran wideout will probably be less than 100 percent, considering he's currently carrying minor hamstring and knee pains.
